England Flow Blue Wash Bowl About Delicately painted floral and vine pattern in deep cobalt blue on the ornately shaped bodies of this wash bowl and pitcher set, the under glaze flow blue enhanced by the embossed details of the porcelain, circa 1900. When Johnson Brothers was founded in 1883 by Frederick and Alfred Johnson, two grandsons of the founders of the renowned English pottery, J. Meakin, the goal for their Staffordshire pottery was to produce an earthenware called “White Granite,” which is marked on many early pieces as “SEMI PORCELAIN.”.
