This reel also has the riveted painted brass foot, sculpted pillars, and round line guard. The only thing about this reel that doesn't match the early 1495 example on the internet is that the ratchet plate has four indents rather than two, although the original owner may have replaced the plate because he didn't like the clunky feel of. A two ratchet plate. I took a well cared for.

Supple double tapered fly line off of this reel so it seems the former owner was discriminating. Also interesting that the instruction folder found in this 1495 box doesn't have the 1495 model listed inside.
