Posted : admin On 26.10.2019Hi, I recently, in the past few weeks, was forced to download windows 10 on my 2 year old desktop. It came with windows 8, that I was forced later to download windows 8.1. Now, I am unable to write new or reply emails, on centurylink email. A friend thoughtthat I should set it up on my mircrosoft account. I had to do it manually and I am now unable to get the emails to download on that account.
I'm frustrated that Microsoft didn't cross all the 'T's' and dot all the 'I's' before making people down load thesesoftwares. I kept clicking no and finally it just download with out my consent. When does no mean no? Can anyone help me with this problem? Wow unit frame addons. I'm doing business on this email and can't change in mid stream to another email address.Thank-you, Larry.
Hi Larry,Thank you for posting your query on Microsoft Community. As per the description, I understand that you are facing issues after upgrading to Windows 10.I would like to know some information. Are you referring to Mail App or Microsoft Office outlook?.What exactly happens when you try to reply emails?.Do you get any error code or error message?.Are you able to access mails through web mail?.When you say “I am now unable to get the emails to download on that account” what exactly happens? Please provide us the information in brief. We will be glad to assist you further. Thank-you for your response.1) Mail app.

With your Qwest.net service you can have more than one e-mail box within one Qwest.net account. Additional e-mail boxes are known as sub-accounts or secondary accounts. Qwest Choice Internet Prime™ service includes 10 e-mail boxes. Set up account in Outlook Express: In the Internet Accounts window, click the Mail tab. Click Add and select.
Now, I access my email through the centurylink email page on the internet. I contacted centurylink with this problem and they said that they couldn't help me.5) to import my emails to that microsoft email account, so I can read them there. In other words, I set up my centurylink email to come to the Microsoft mail app as my 2nd account. I originally set up a dummy emailaccount in order to get the computer to work. It is not my primary email account, I never have used it.I've spent many hours trouble shooting this problem from the internet.
One person said that they got a update, that solved the problem.I had to set up the second (Centurlink) account manually, I believe its just a setting change. But have been to all the setting places that I can find. On that account it says that it hasn't been 'Synced ' yet. I turned on all the buttons under the 'sync'place. Thanks, frustrated Larry. We will be happy to assist you. Hi, I called Centurylink again and they had me change the preferences tab on the centurlink email page, from enhanced (Ajax) to Basic (HTML), I don't why or what that does.
He told me that I had to log out and log back in. It changes the format of my email. It looks different and is awkward to use. He said that I could change itback after awhile. I did this and I again couldn't type in the body of the email, so I changed my preferencesback to Basic (HTML). I'm not sure that centurylink email can be put in a Microsoft account, so that you canretrieve the emails that way. I gave up trying to do it that way. This happened about the time that centurylink required me to make a new password and at the same time,Microsoft didn't take no for the umpteenth time to downloading Windows 10 and forced me to down load Windows 10.

By the way, I don't like Windows 10. It's harder for me, a non-techy person to navigate either, finding stuff on the computer that I want todo or navigate the internet. This Cortana is ridiculous! What a waste of your time and my time.I hope that this helps others.Larry.
. How to use free email client to connect and use MS Exchange 2007 or 2010 mail server instead of investing money in standalone MS Outlook or MS Office suite. So you are at tight budget and have no money for new copy of MS Office or standalone MS Outlook and you business mail server happen to be MS Exchange 2007/2010. Or, even, better you are running Linux desktop system and certainly have no nerves nor time to configure open source and free Evolution email client. Then this tutorial is for you! Once you have Mozilla Thunderbird downloaded just install it on your computer and launch new email client software.Skip automatic email account creation and skip offers to create free email accounts at gandi.net or hover.comFrom Thunderbird menubar click on Tools and select Addons.Click on small gear icon and select an option:Install Add-on From FileNavigate to the location where you saved your add-on file ( e.g.
Exquilla-currentrelease-tb-windows.xpi for Windows OS) and install it.Restart Thunderbird! One more time skip Thunderbird offers for free email account creation. After the ExQuilla addon is successfully installed, you may add a Microsoft Exchange account from the menu item Tools/ExQuilla for Microsoft Exchange/Add Microsoft Exchange Account.Click on Tools in Thunderbird menubar, scroll way down to ExQuilla for Microsoft Exchange line and click on it.Profile setup wizard will appear.
Fill in boxes with your user name and password and correct URL pointing to your MS Exchange server:where 'your-server-name' in my example you should substitute with your MS Exchange public facing FQDN.( For internal corporate LAN plain IP address will suffice). MS Exchange email access requires an email 'client' or the use of a Web browser 'webmail' interface. For Windows PCs, the only way of accessing email with standalone email client software is with Microsoft Outlook, which is part of the Microsoft Office software suite. Being able to retrieve email messages from MS Exchange mail server using email client applications other Outlook has always been challenge for developers because of Microsoft proprietary mail transport protocol (MAPI). Small ExQuilla addon for Mozilla Thunderbird email client has solved that problem using HTTP protocol ( Exchange Web Services, actually) instead.
