Project Nevada Load Order
Posted : admin On 06.10.2019- Project Nevada is a mod aiming to make Fallout: New Vegas a more interesting - eventually more challenging - but surely more fun experience for you.Created by the team responsible for the Fallout 3 Wanderers Edition (FWE), we're leaving the barren DC wasteland behind and move on west to new, exciting regions.
- For Fallout: New Vegas on the PC, a GameFAQs message board topic titled 'Can't figure out this load order'.
Project Nevada Load Order Program
That includes the pre order packs. So if you leave the.nam files the game will load the pre order packs if you want them or not. Let us continue. First, your load order should ALWAYS begin with the official Bethesda master files for Fallout NV Followed by the files from Fallout 3. Next should ALWAYS be the TaleOfTwoWastelands master file.
Best AnswerGrantSP,Although you have posted it in the MO forum, because you are using MO, I don't believe this is strictly a MO issue, or an issue in general.MO, LOOT and Wrye Flash see these files as 'esms', you can tell that in Flash by the colouring applied to them. The 'issue' here is whether there is a reason for xEdit to list them in the editor selection window after esps, and if that will have an impact on any patches?I have no idea why that is the case and there have been a number of different posts with similar questions regarding ESMified esps in xEdit being placed this way, in none of them do I recall an explicit answer or can I find them quickly now.I will say this though, looking at the PN files in xEdit there doesn't seem to be any conflicts that arise from the positioning of them that way. I could be wrong, it was only a cursory look.Perhaps this question needs to asked in the xEdit (FNVEdit) forum? Not finding any info on this particular subject so here goes.I set up FNV following the Fear and Loathing Guide here on the Wiki.
I am running:MO 1.3.5,LOOT 0.7.0.7,FNV Edit 3.1,Wrye-Flash Standalone 16.9.Yes, I did add too the F&L Guide but it is minimal and I have not affected anything in the F&L Guide setup to this point. I was about to till I found this.Simple expalantion to my issue is Project Nevada.esps that are flagged as masters are being sorted differently between MO with LOOT setting the load order and what FNVEdit and Wrye-Flash see as the load order. I do mean Right pane mod sorting not Left.I am showing only the Masters in my order as the sorting issue is only happening in the masters not the plugins.

I didn't study the conflicts if any that might arise from the masters being out of order. I also don't think it is an MO problem specifically.
I was looking for a short and sweet answer that I hadn't found myself after some fairly extensive digging. I will study on what I've got a little further. I don't expect to find a definitive answer. If there was such I think you or someone else that passes here would know it already.
I was about to do some merging in my load order and will do so now. I can get the kinks out I believe.
This was just a new twist for me and I've been modding a good while. Thanks much.
Here is my current mod load order. You read through that it positions load orders for Fallout New Vegas.Just looking through yours you do have a couple i've noticed could do with shunting around but BOSS knows better than me.Stupid question I have to ask but do you use Fallout Mod Manager?Of course!I apologise.I had to ask though. You would (or maybe you wouldn't) be surprised at how many people just punt loads of mods into their data folder without using things like FOSE, ArchiveInvalidation or Mod Manager. As I said, BOSS will give you the best loadout for your mods. From looking over what you have it doesn't seem to be a mod confliction. From what I can see they all do different things and affect different areas (apart from Project Nevada that affects everywhere) but that in itself shouldn't conflict with any of the other mods you have. Also, good choice on Alexscorpions Custom AK103, I use one of his sniper rifles he has some pretty decent gun mods.If you ever get the chance, and you like fancy looking guns, check out Beware of Girl Devils Mistress and Finger of God.Devils Mistress is a silver engraved handgun and it looks amazing.
Finger of God is a modded Anti Material Rifle, gold in colour with artwork all over it. It looks gorgeous.Sorry I trailed off a bit there.Yeah, use BOSS to sort out your order.
As I said it doesn't look to be a major conflict with the ones you use I think it just may be a case of one or two loading after they need to be.One I noticed straight off is Project Nevada WMX should be above the rest of the Project Nevada mods to load before them. I did download and use Alexascorpion's sniper rifle and smg with the Chinese Stealthsuit mod though.
Ill be sure to use BOSS once I have re-installed.Thanks Again!
